How to Listen to the Bible in Your Car
When you're on a long trip, it comes in handy to be able to listen to the Bible in your car. You may be capable of doing this already. If not, you can buy the necessary tools at a reasonable price. There are several ways to hear God's Word while you drive.
One way to listen to the Bible in your car is to play an audio Bible through your car's built-in CD player (or tape player). Most cars have at least a CD player built-in, and a lot of new cars have a USB port to plug an iPod or iPhone into, for listining to music (or in this case, the Bible).
Playing audio from an iPod through the USB interface on the car offers the best sound quality. The second-best is to use a male-to-male stereo cable (3.5mm) to plug the iPod into the car.
If you have an older car that has a tape player, you can use a 3.5mm stereo to tape adapter.
If none of those options work for you (your car doesn't have a USB port, a stereo port, or a tape player), the only other option is to use a FM transmitter, which broadcasts the audio coming out of your iPod onto a radio station that you tune your car's radio to. This is the least reliable and least desirable option, but for some people, it is the only option.
If you are forced to go the route of the FM transmitter, try to get one that uses ClearScan or SmartScan technology, which is designed to automatically find the best radio frequency to transmit over.
