Biblical Thoughts About Victory

Consider these Biblical thoughts about victory. God desires for you to be victorious over everything you experience in life. Once you understand what God thinks about victory, and begin to apply those principles to your own life, you will be victorious!

Thought:
The battle has been won: Jesus is victorious. When you believe this, you will have victory in Jesus' name.

Thought:
We need not "struggle" against the Devil. Simply understand the power of Jesus within you; be persistant, be holy, be pure. Then you will be victorious.

Thought:

The goal determines the result -

He whose goal is to defeat the devil
will receive as a consequence utter annihilation.
But he whose goal is to serve the Lord
will receive as a result, eternal life and victory over evil.

Thought: "For Conquest or for Victory?"

Some people try in life to work against the devil, or "evil," to defeat it. In doing so, they are without Jesus, and are therefore powerless to defeat evil. Even more, they are deceived by certain movies and stories (for example "Star Wars") which falsely teach that it is noble to fight against "evil." The truth is, nobody can overcome evil if they are without Jesus.

On the contrary, those who are "in Christ" (2 Cor. 5:17) have a completely different attitude. Their goal is to serve the Lord, and their reward is victory. There are no thoughts in their minds concerning "defeating evil," or even to conquer the Devil, for that matter. Rather, since their GOAL is to serve the Lord, the RESULT is victory over the devil.

Those whose goal is to exterminate the devil, [THE SINNERS]
will find the task a hard one
For without Christ none can "kill evil,"
no matter what they bargain.

But we whose goal is to work for Jesus, [THE RIGHTEOUS]
will find the task a pleasure
And in the end, with Christ as our redeemer,
the devil has been defeated.

So, you see, the righteous receive as a RESULT, the GOAL of the sinners. Consequently, sinners are defeated and never accomplish their goal, while the righteous simply serve the Lord and are successful.
